EPL Predictions

As a relative newbie in terms of professional football fandom, I’ll be honest and acknowledge that the forthcoming predictions are quite uneducated and based on the trusted expertise of others. I will keep it modest and only venture a quick guess as to which teams will make up the top 8:

1. Chelsea
2. Liverpool
3. Manchester United
4. Manchester City
5. Arsenal
6. Tottenham
7. Everton
8. Aston Villa

I will readily admit that I have only been a Chelsea fan since ’05, and have only followed them closely for the past 18 months or so. Having said that, I believe they are a deeply talented squad and, when motivated, have the horses to rise to the top of the table. I believe the same can be said of Liverpool as well. I’m not sure Man Utd. can overcome the loss of Ronaldo and Tevez – perhaps Rooney, Berbatov and even Owen can fill the holes in terms of goals, but when Ronaldo wasn’t scoring he was setting the table for others, and the loss of those assists will hurt. Man City is obviously the team to hate these days with all the money they have spent recently, but if they can become a cohesive unit – and that is a huge if – I think they can crack the elusive top four. That would leave Arsenal on the outs, a fun team to watch but one that seems to be in cut back mode.

There you have. Take this list down to Ladbrokes ASAP and you will make a small fortune, 100% not guaranteed.
